Our founder is a former police chief from Virginia with extensive experience in law enforcement. Through our experiences, we’ve understood the policies that affect the general public and how to navigate them.
The owner started The Chief’s Pulpit Company LLC because everyone has the right to feel safe and respected during a law enforcement encounter. The owner wants to help reduce the anxieties and fears that often accompany operating a motor vehicle and interactions with law enforcement.

The owner has over 20 years of law enforcement experience. The Chief’s Pulpit Company LLC was created because the owner understands the complexities of law enforcement-citizen encounters.
Mark T. McCoy created The Chief’s Pulpit Company to provide behind-the-wheel driving lessons, guidance, information, and instruction to first-time drivers and individuals who may have suspended driving and desire to resume. The owner also provides Virginia Public Notary service.
Services:
- Behind-the-wheel driver skill assessment – $ 30 per hour
- Teenager/Parent 45-hour log assistance – $30 per hour
- Private behind-the-wheel driving lessons – $30 per hour
- 14 fifty-minute periods of in-car instructions (7 periods of Behind-the-Wheel w/ 7 observation periods): total cost – $210
- 18 years old and older – Behind-the-wheel Road Skills testing – $60
- Behind-the-Wheel re-examination – $100
We also offer the following services,
